IntelliWriter serves as an on-demand virtual writing coach, enhancing writing efficiency by providing suggestions and contextual insights for improved coherence in written content.
Adding IntelliWriter to your D2L Course
Go to [Content] and select the module where you want to insert the IntelliWriter integration. For example, add a module and give it a name such as "IntelliWriter Access".
- In your new module, click on [Add Existing Activities], then select [Third-party Integrations].
- Click the [IntelliWriter LTI 1.3] link.
Adding an IntelliWriter link to a D2L Assignment
- Click on the [Drop-down Arrow] next to the assignment, then click [Edit Folder].
- Click on the [Insert Quicklink] icon.
- In the popup window, click on [Third-Party Integrations].
- Enter the phrase IntelliWriter in the search box, then click on [IntelliWriter LTI 1.3].
- The IntelliWriter link will be inserted as seen below.
NOTE: Students still have access to IntelliWriter through the Navbar even if you do not add an IntelliWriter link to your course.
Accessing IntelliWriter from D2L
To access IntelliWriter, click [Collaboration] on the Navbar (either from the D2L Homepage, or in a D2L course) then click [Intelliwriter].
Getting Started with IntelliWriter for Faculty
The Faculty Resource Center on IntelliWriter includes a variety of tools including a syllabus insert, efficacy study, and testimonials from other faculty who have successfully incorporated IntelliWriter in their courses and/or tutoring programs.

Getting Started with IntelliWriter for Staff
- Go to the IntelliWriter Login page and click [Register].
- Enter your first name, last name, LSC Email Address, and create a password for your new account.
- You will receive an email containing an activation link, the link expires in 5 minutes.
- Log into your new account on IntelliWriter and provide the following access code: d1ffc6e0-0ca1-433e-b8d5-58630e8450ef
