Add Norton InQuizitive to Your Course

Online Services does not have access to your Norton InQuizitive account. For integration issues or questions, please contact your Norton representatives. You can use the Find Your Rep page to locate your Norton representative.

Beginning on 5/26/26 Norton InQuizitive will become a Partner Integration with Vitalsource. Partner Integrations use the VitalSource Deep Link to deploy content with the correlated course material. See Norton's documentation on configuring your course via VitalSource Deep Link.

InQuizitive is a formative, adaptive learning tool that supports select W. W. Norton textbooks. Instructors most often assign InQuizitive as pre-lecture assignments to ensure students come prepared to lectures, quizzes, and exams.

Using VitalSource Deeplinking to Set Up InQuizitive Links

If you have chosen a W. W. Norton textbook as your textbook adoption, please follow the steps below to set up your course and deploy content links within your course.

First Time Setup

The following steps need to be completed once per course to complete first time setup.

  1. Navigate to your Content Module[Add Existing Activities][VitalSource Content Links].

  2. Confirm your Textbook Adoption is correct, then select [Open Publisher Tool].

  3. Log into your W. W. Norton account and select [Log In].

  4. Confirm the shown course material or textbook is correct, then select [Yes, this is the right course material].

  5. If your course materials are applicable for Star Bundle usage by your students, select [Yes, this course is participating].

  6. Input the remaining course information and select [Create Course].

Deploying InQuizitive Content Links

  1. Navigate to your Content Module[Add Existing Activities][VitalSource Content Links].

  2. Confirm your Textbook Adoption is correct, then select [Open Publisher Tool].

  3. Choose whether you would prefer Individual Assignment Links or Product Homepage Links in your course. Then select [Confirm].

  4. Select the chevron of the type of content you wish to add.

  6. Select the [Assignment] you wish to deploy, the [Due Date], and points value in [LMS Point Value]

  7. Select [Send to desire2learn] to deploy the assignments to your Content Module.

Adding Just the eBook Link

For instructors seeking to add just the eBook link, this tutorial will walk you through the process.

Adding Norton InQuizitive Content to Your D2L Course

The most common course setup method of adding the W. W. Norton digital resources is importing an RMLS file, which includes all courseware associated with the textbook. Their support site walks instructors through the set-up process.
