Accessibility Academy by D2L

Find free courses on Accessibility, Assistive Technologies and more in the Accessibility Academy, hosted in the Brightspace D2L Academy. The courses cater to both novice and expert Brightspace users, covering introductory to advanced topics including specific assistive technology tips.

1. Register with the Brightspace Community using your LSC email address.
2. Upon successfully submitting the registration form, you will receive email instructions to activate your account.
3. Once your account has been verified and activated, log in to Brightspace Community.
4. Select Resources > D2L Academy from the navigation menu.
5. Click on the Accessibility Academy tile.
   
   

Accessibility and Usability Resource Site by QM

Included in our membership to Quality Matters is access to their "Accessibility and Usability Resource Site." Instructions to register are below.

Video Demo

1. Log into (or create) your QM account associated with Lone Star College to access MyQM.
2. Click on Workshop - Register on the left menu and choose Register for Accessibility & Usability Resource Site.
3. Click the Register for Session button.
4. Agree to both terms and click Continue.
5. Enter your LSC email address, which should be the email address you used to create your account.
6. The cost of training should be $0. Click Finalize Registration.

After registering, it can take up to an hour to get access to the site. To access the site:

1. Log back into MyQM
2. Click on Classroom in the top menu.
3. Choose Accessibility and Usability Resource Site in the dashboard list.
