Use the D2L Grader App for iOS

The Grader app for iOS allows you to use your iOS tablet to grade D2L assignments.

  1. On the login screen, tap Log into D2L® Online Courses.

  2. Enter the web address for your D2L courses ( and tap Connect.

  2. Enter your Lone Star login username and password, then tap Sign In.

    • If this is your first time using the app, you must authorize the service by tapping Continue.

  3. Tap Start using Assignment Grader.

  4. When you log in, you will see a list of all the assignments in all your courses. You will see how many students have ungraded submissions and how many total submissions have been made. You can also choose to sort by End Date or Ungraded.

  5. Tap on a class to see all the students in the course with submissions. You can choose to sort them by Ungraded, Name, Date, or Grade using the buttons on the bottom of the screen.

  6. Tap on a student to mark that student’s paper.

    • The hand icon will allow you to draw freehand on the paper while marking it up.
    • The pencil icon will allow you to highlight any text in the paper in yellow.
    • The page icon will allow you to add a note anywhere on the paper.
    • The underline symbol will allow you to underline text in the paper in blue.
    • The strikethrough symbol will allow you to strikethrough any text in the paper in red.
  7. To give the paper a grade, tap on the arrow symbol at the top of the black right-hand sidebar.

  8. The panel that slides out has grading and feedback options on it.

    • Enter the score in the Score boxIdentifies panel options for recording and viewing attached files.
    • If the dropbox has a rubric, you can access it under Rubrics.
    • Add any feedback in the Feedback box.
    • You can create audio or video feedback by tapping the Audio or Video buttons, then tapping on the record button.
    • If you have previously attached a file to the dropbox, you can view or delete it.
  9. You can publish an individual’s score by tapping Publish at the top of the screen for that individual.

  10. If you want to publish all scores at the same time, you can tap Publish all for a group of students.
